About Me

Christina

Kia ora, I’m Christina! What you need to know is I’m originally from New York which means I love pumpkin spice and bagels. Other things I enjoy include: cozy video games, iced oat milk lattes, veggie gardening, and late 90’s alternative rock music. I moved to Aotearoa a decade ago for love. My husband, Dylan, and I met at my local summer camp as co-workers and now we live in our little abode with my fur baby, Lydia as well as our son, Theo and his little sister, Opal.

After many years of taking art classes in school, I went to university for animation and illustration. Fine arts have always been a passion of mine since I was a child. I love every kind of art from painting, ink, graphic design, ceramics, wood work– you name it, I was doing it! Ever since elementary school, I was also someone who always had a camera in their hand. I think photos are so important for preserving memories, special people in our lives, and our joy! This is why wedding photography is so beautiful. It's people coming together to celebrate love, and what's better than that!

If you would like to check out my solo photography, you can see it here!

What happened to Ben?

Ben and I started Ginger and Honey photography in 2019. And it’s been an awesome 6 years!

We navigated having a business together while having the time of our lives shooting people’s best-days-ever! We appreciate, so much, everyone who has given us the opportunity and trust to capture their engagements and weddings. We’ve made so many awesome memories while capturing your memories.

Ben is currently in the process of moving to Australia. Though I will miss him, I know better than most that moving to a new country is an exciting, new adventure and life’s too short not to take a leap of faith! I am wishing him the best in his move and I’m sure if he moves back to New Zealand in the future we’ll team up again!

That being said, if you know anyone looking for a photographer in Australia, I know a guy!
